YLJ-HP-100E is a 5T  max. electric mechanical flat-panel hot press (hydraulic oil-free) which is targeted for the welding or film transfer of wafers, which can handle the maximum sample size: 135mm × 135mm × 40 mm, the maximum operating temperature is 500 °C, the sample can be applied to the maximum pressure of 5T. It is suitable for pressing ceramics, new materials, new energy, superconducting, building materials, and other field sample preparations and materials. Also, it can be used to measure the pressure variation of pouch-type solid-state batteries during battery charging and discharging.

 Heating System
Two 135mm*135mm heating platforms, made of heat-resistant mold steel, can withstand a maximum temperature of 500°C (<30min);
  • Maximum sample size: 135*135*40mm
  • Flatness (the upper and lower heating plate in cold state):  ? 0.02mm (within the range of 100*100mm)
  • Heating elements: 8 450W U-shaped heating tubes are installed inside the heating platform (4 on the upper and lower). 
  • Precise temperature control system: Control each heating platform respectively, up to 30 segments temp control programs can be set with  ±5°C accuracy ( ±3°C at a constant temperature of 500°C)

The temperature control system adopts PID mode for temperature adjustment and has overheating and couple break protection. The three-color warning light on the device will warn you in overtemperature conditions.
Pressing System

  • Pressurization modes: two pressuring modes are selectable:
    • Automatic:  When the pressure value reaches the target value, a continuous pressure will be applied by the device to keep the pressure at the constant of the set value with accuracy: ±3kg.
    • Manual:  Presetting pressure at a fixed value, then you can measure the pressure change of solid-state battery during charging-discharging 
Programmable Control
By connecting the control system, the heating segments, pressure size, and pressure retention time can be programmed. And the data displayed on the touch screen is more intuitive and convenient and fast.
 
Application Note:
  • This pressure is designed for using an insider glovebox with inert gas, including Ar gas
  • One KF 40 feedthrough will be needed if you put the temperature control box outside the glovebox, which is available upon request at the extra cost.
               
Water Chiller (Optional)
  • Upper and lower platens are water-cooled, which prevents the press from overheating and provides rapid cooling. 
  • A water chiller is required but not included. 
  • MTI's circulating Water Chiller EQ-KJ5000 is available. 
Controlling Software(Optional)     
  • Connect to the computer to set the parameters to control the equipment via PC.  The pressure curve shown in the software is more intuitive, and data can be exported for the comparison of multiple experiments. 
  • This flat hot press also can connect to a battery analyzer to measure the pressure variation of solid-state batteries during the charging and discharging of pouch cells.
