MTI

MSK-AFA-L1000-HDS  is an economic, but precision film coating machine which can coat film with 5 microns thickness up to 1100 mm Length. One special hybrid film applicator is included which can do both slots die coating for thin film (< 10 microns) and tape casting for thick film coating (> 10 microns). It is an excellent tool to research film coating for perovskite solar cells, fuel cell proton exchange membrane, and the battery electrode.

Hybrid Coating Head
  • The film coating head consists of one fixed 300 mm width doctor blade and one 200 mm width removable slot die head ( click picture1 below to see detail). The gap between the coating blade and the substrate plate is adjustable with +/- 1-micron accuracy via dual digital micrometers. (Pic. 2)
    • Doctor blade: 300 mm width for minimum thickness of 0.010 mm film
    • Slot die: 200 mm width for minimum thickness of 0.005 mm film
