MTI

The OTF1200XIIIR5-AF is a 5" rotary CVD tube furnace with three heating zones with Max. working temperature of 1200oC and Automatic Feeding & Receiving System. The furnace is especially good for preparing Li-Ion battery cathode and Anode materials with conductive coating, such as LiFePO3, LiMnNiO3, Si/C, etc. The receiving tank will accept fired powder without exposing the material to air. This rotary furnace has a larger tube diameter (5"OD) combined with a longer and more uniform heating area (three zones, 900mm overall length).

  • DC Gear motor drives quartz tube with variable speed 0 - 10 RPM
  • The furnace can be electrically tilted up to 30° 
  • The split cover enables faster cooling and easy operation.

Feeding
Furnace
  • The automatic powder feeder is mounted on the tiltable furnace via a vacuum-sealed swivel assembly. (Pic 1)
  • The proper connection ensures a uniform feeding rate and the tube rotation undisturbed under a controlled atmosphere. (Pic 2-3)
  • The feed rate is adjustable by the potentiometer knob, 97cm^3/min max.
  • One stainless steel tank ( 1 Liter Capacity ) is installed on the other end of the processing tube to gather the fired powder without exposure to air. 
  • A furnace without an automatic feeding & receiving system is available, please select from the option bar. (Pic 5)

Heating Zone length
  • Three zones: (600mm, 24" in total)
    • Zone 1: 150 mm
    • Zone 2: 300mm
    • Zone 3: 150 mm 
  • Constant temperature zone: 450 mm within +/-2ºC if two zones are at the same temperature.
Processing tube & Flange
  • Fused quartz tube (one is included)
  • SS310 tube is available upon request at the extra cost for max working temp 900°C with a similar size
  • Dimension: 130 mm O.D. x 124 mm I.D. x 1200 mm L + 60 OD mm at flanges. 
  • Tumbling volume: 5310 ml

  • One pair of 60mm SS sealing flange with needle valves and a rotatable gas connector is included
  • 60 mm OD straight quartz tube is available to use use it as a conventional tube furnace.

    • Three PID digital temperature controllers with 30 programmable segments
    • RS485 port is built-in to connect a PC for remote control
