EQ-MR-500 is a precise hand operated rolling press with dual rollers of 64mm (2.5'') diam. x 125mm (5'') width and dual grade micrometer which can adjust rolling thickness at 0.05 mm accuracy. It is the ideal rolling press for adjusting thickness and increasing active material density of the electrode in Li-Ion batteries research after coating and drying.

Application Notes
  • Each roll press step decrease amount should be less than 0.014 mm.
  • Every roll press process should be more than 15 steps. 
  • Must use acetone to clean and dry rollers' surfaces after each use to avoid rusting
  • Apply anti-rust lubricant on roller surface if machine were to be unused for a long period of time
  • This manual rolling press has been used to make free-standing 2D metal nanosheets by a repeated process of folding and calendaring stacked metal sheets (See reference below)
