MTI

VBF-1200S-MS is a compact top-loading furnace with a quartz chamber and three electrodes. It is designed for studies of molten salt electrolysis or batteries. It comes with three copper electrodes and copper connectors for any type of electrode.

Structure
  • SS316 case for anti-corrosive processing
  • The crucible furnace has a heating chamber of 4.7" ID x 8" H, (120 mm ID x 200 mm H)
  • The separated temperature controller for remote operation
  • The compact furnace can be put in the glovebox via an antechamber
  • The furnace includes a 4" quartz reactor
  • An alumina spacer is included to isolate the temperature from the heating chamber

  • Max. vacuum: 10-2 torr by a mechanical pump or 10-5 by a turbo pump
  • Max. pressure: 3 psig
  • One alumina thermal block.

Temperature controller

  • One digital temperature controller is built in with an accuracy of ±1°C
    • PID automatic control and auto-tune function.
    • 30 programmable segments for precise process
    • Built-in protection for overheating and broken thermocouples.
  • K-type thermocouple

DC Power Supply (Optional)

  • A programmable DC power supply is optional up to 30V DC, and 70A Max
