Fumion FAA-3-SOLUT-10

FCS

Fumion FAA-3-SOLUT-10 is an anion exchange ionomer that acts as a binding agent to hold the platinum, membrane, and gas diffusion layer together when using Fumatech anion membranes. The polymer backbone for this membrane is based on a proprietary hydrocarbon resin. Fumion FAA-3 solution comes in a brown, transparent N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) solvent solution. The solution is ready to use and requires no additional additives. Fumion FAA-3-SOLUT-10 Features:    • Ionomer Type: Anion Exchange Ionomer  • Polymer Type: Polyaromatic Polymer  • Appearance / Color: Brown, Transparent Solution  • Solvent: N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) Fumion FAA-3-SOLUT-10 Technical Specification Sheet Delivery and Handling: Keep solution package closed / sealed when unused. Open only for direct use and process immediately after opening. Store and handle in a clean and dust-free area. Always wear protective gloves and safety goggles when handling the solution. The fumion® solution contains NMP and a polyaromatic polymer with quaternary ammonium functional groups (counter ion bromide). Shake before use. Admixture of alcohol or water to the fumion® solution may precipitate the ionomer. However, diluting the solution with polar organic solvents such as NMP, DMAc and DMF is feasible without precipitation. Recommended storage conditions: Store in delivery containers (closed), avoid direct exposure to sunlight and humidity. Storage temperature for long term storage: 5 °C (keep cool), short term storage for some weeks at 15 - 35 °C possible. Expected shelf life: A shelf life of 4 months at 25 °C (solution tends to gelation). If you have any concerns about storage, chemical stability, pre-treatment or before proceeding, please feel free to contact us for further information. Please note that dispersions contain solvents that may compromise the seals of the bottles if the solvents are left in direct contact with the lids for long periods of time. We recommend always storing the bottles in an upright orientation as soon as the shipment is received to lessen the likelihood of inadvertent leakage.
