MTI

MSK-160D is a CE Certified and MET ready electric crimper for the CR20XX series coin cells such as CR2016, CR2025, and CR2032. MSK-160D is designed to be operated at both inside and outside of a glove box. This crimper can be used under Argon gas for half-cell testing. (Per customer requests, we updated MSK-160D1, a purchase for coin cell disassembling, with single set of die to lower cost as of 4/17/2015)

Die Set & Compatibility	Assembling dies for crimping CR2032, CR2025, & CR2016 coin cells (Optional CR2325, CR2450 die sets are available upon request). To know more about dies changing, please read the operation manual. Having a separate crimper for disassembling is highly recommended for saving time. 100 pcs Coin cell cases (MTI's CR2032 cases) are included in the package for testing and immediate use
Pressure	The pressure applied to seal the cell case is pre-set to a constant pressure at about 800 kg before shipping. Pressure adjustment knob at the top can be used to adjust the pressure applied to the negative cap of the cell to prevent case deformation. Maintenance Notes & Warnings	Electrolytes are highly corrosive materials.The die set must be cleaned with alcohol after each use to avoid corrosion In the case a replacement die is needed, please click pic.1 in below to order. The PTFE die (found at the top die) ejects the cell casing after crimping via spring loaded pressure. Do NOT over tighten the pressure adjustment knob to avoid damaging this PTFE die. To set the proper pressure on the die, loosen the knob all the way until the spring compression is no longer stressed. Then start tightening the knob and stop turning it once the spring compression is felt. This will prevent the PTFE die from becoming deformed by being subjected to excessive pressure. (Please refer to Pic.2 for details. ) Attention: Please use MTI Branded Coin Cell Cases with our crimper. We don't guarantee the crimping quality if other brand cells are used. Pic.1 Pic.2.
