This  small round (cylindrical) electromagnets is used for holding sample by its magnetism (power on mode) in MTI's vertical furnace and dropping off the sample into quenching solution at the bottom when power off (magnetism gone) after heating is finished, thus, the whole quenching process will go smoothly under vacuum/flange sealing without any foreign interruption or mechanical holding part like pulling wires.
